Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha are getting ready for their lavish Punjabi wedding on September 24. Their upcoming nuptials promise to be a grand celebration with elaborate details. Raghav will start a grand “baraat” procession from Hotel Lake Palace, leading to the Hotel Leela Palace, making for a picturesque journey. The heart of the wedding will be the traditional “pheras” ceremony on Sunday at around 3 pm, symbolizing the couple’s union and filled with timeless customs.
Pre-wedding ceremony begins with Ardas and kirtan
The wedding menu is set to be sumptuous, with a variety of culinary delights for the 200 guests attending. Special white flowers from Kolkata and Delhi will adorn the mandap where Parineeti and Raghav exchange their vows. This joyful journey started earlier this year with an engagement ceremony in Delhi. Pre-wedding festivities, beginning on September 19, included traditional rituals like “ardaas” and kirtan, adding cultural richness and spirituality to the celebrations.

The wedding banquet will feature a fusion of Punjabi and Rajasthani cuisines, offering dimsums, delicious desserts, and mouthwatering old Delhi-style kebabs. Parineeti’s brothers, Sahaj and Shivang, who are food entrepreneurs, have curated the menu.
Wedding theme and Schedules
Parineeti and Raghav’s wedding theme is Divine as they chose a pearl white Indian wedding theme for their grand day. The couple will wear Manish Malhotra’s design.
Talking about wedding day schedule, On September 24, the celebration will start with Raghav’s Sehrabandi ceremony at 1 p.m. at the Taj Lake Palace, followed by a lively Baraat procession at 2 p.m. The Jaimala ceremony is at 3:30 pm, Pheras at 4 pm, and Vidai at 6:30 pm. The day ends with a grand reception called ‘A Night of Amore’ at 8:30 pm.

After the wedding, there will be another celebration in Chandigarh on September 30. The wedding events will be at The Leela Palace Udaipur, with special stays for family and friends. Other guests will stay at nearby luxury places, making the couple’s Punjabi wedding memorable for everyone.
