Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya Box Office: Where Does It Stand Among Shahid Kapoor’s Top 10 Openers?
5 years back, Shahid Kapoor delivered his biggest opener ever in the form of Kabir Singh. The film took an opening of more than 20 crores and shocked one and all. In fact, it was even bigger than Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat, which had been released a year earlier. It had seemed like the actor was indeed getting at the top of the game. However, COVID struck, and just like it happened with everyone else, there was a lull period for Shahid as well. Jersey was released thereafter, but it had a delayed release. Meanwhile, he did Farzi and Bloody Daddy on OTT.
Now that he has arrived with Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, there is a bit of resurgence that he is looking at. The film did miss out on being amongst the Top 5 biggest openers of his, but found a place just below that. This is how the Top-10 list looks like:
Trending
- Kabir Singh – 20.21 crores
- Padmaavat – 19 crores
- Shaandaar – 13.10 crores
- R… Rajkumar – 10.10 crores
- Udta Punjab – 10.05 crores
- Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya – 7.02 crores
- Mausam – 6.75 crores
- Batti Gul Meter Chalu – 6.76 crores
- Haider – 6.14 crores
- Rangoon – 6.07 crores
In terms of lifetime, Shahid Kapoor would be hoping that his newest romcom does find a place in the Top-10. However, prior to that, it would be the biggest weekend and then first-week scores that would be closely tracked. The competition would be tough as barring Kabir Singh and Shaandaar, all his other films were in a very similar range during their run, and hence Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya will have to make its place in. The film’s run would indeed be closely tracked, and it would be interesting to see where it eventually lands in the list.
