How Much Kareena Kapoor Charged For Her OTT Debut Jaane Jaan

Kareena Kapoor is one of the most sought-after actresses in the film industry with several hits to her credit. She has acted in many hit films like 3 Idiots and Jab We Met in her illustrious acting career. She also made her debut on the OTT in 2023 and played the lead in the film Jaane Jaan.

Kareena Kapoor received praise for her acting prowess and as per reports, received Rs 10 to 12 crore for Jaane Jaan. There is, however, no official confirmation for the same. She eventually became the highest-paid actress on the OTT platforms. Sujoy Ghosh has directed Jaane Jaan starring Vijay Varma, Jaideep Ahlawat and others in key roles.

Jaane Jaan is an adaptation of the Japanese novel The Devotion of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino. The film received mixed reviews from the audience. Some appreciated the acting performances while others criticised the slow pace of the film. Jaane Jaan is currently streaming on Netflix. Saurabh Sachdeva, Naisha Khanna, Denjam Lepcha and others also acted in this film.

Kareena talked about this film in an interaction with Variety magazine. She said that her OTT streaming debut has been very rewarding. She said, “The reactions, and messages from fans and audiences around the world have strengthened my belief that good stories can go everywhere. Playing Maya D’souza, having costars like Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma and being directed by Sujoy Ghosh made the experience of my first streaming debut a wonderful experience. I hope the film continues to top all the charts for many many weeks to come.”

On the personal front, Kareena is married to actor Saif Ali Khan. They are the parents of Taimur and Jeh. Kareena dominated the news on Wednesday for the quirkiest reply from Saif on the occasion of Valentine’s Day. Kareena mentioned in the Instagram Story that she wished her husband Saif Ali Khan on the occasion and his response was just an “OK”.

Kareena will next act in the film Singham Again directed by Rohit Shetty. This film is expected to hit the cinemas on August 15. Ajay Devgn, Deepika Padukone and others will act in the film.
