As per the report in Deadline, Kung Fu Panda 4 has raked in $18.4 million on Friday (including Thursday previews). Considering the momentum and good pre-sales, the film is heading towards a score of $52 million at the North American box office during the opening weekend. It is currently running in 4,035 theatres.

With $52 million, Kung Fu Panda 4 is set to register the second-biggest opening weekend for the franchise. The first Kung Fu Panda film had registered a debut of $60.2 million. It’ll also grab the top spot in the domestic market this weekend by staying ahead of the Dune sequel.

Speaking about Dune 2, it is expected to finish its second weekend by earning an impressive $41 million. So, by the end of Sunday, the magnum opus will reach $152 million at the North American box office. It is currently playing in 4,074 theatres.
Speaking about other films, Imaginary is projected to earn $3.2-$3.8 million during this weekend. It is currently running in 3,118 theatres. Cabrini is expected to earn $9-$9.4 million during the weekend. Bob Marley: One Love might rake in $4.45 million during its 4th weekend.
