Dune 2 slows down at the China box office

As per the latest update, Dune 2 witnessed a sharp fall and earned $254K on the fourth Friday, taking the total collection to $46 million at the China box office. When compared to last Friday, it’s a huge drop of 73%. This is totally understood as Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire has marked its grand arrival and is performing much beyond everyone’s expectations.

While the pace has definitely gone down, Dune 2 is expected to cross the lifetime collection of Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible 7 before wrapping up the theatrical run. For those who don’t know, the action thriller had amassed $47.7 million at the China box office. The film even had a chance of hitting the $50 million milestone, but unfortunately, it’ll be there in Chinese theatres only for one more week, and as of now, there’s no extension given to the biggie’s theatrical run.
