13 years of Salman Khan’s Ready: A well-packed massy comedy-drama with a family backdrop
In 2011, Salman Khan arrived with an extremely heart-winning masala comedy film ‘Ready,’ directed by Anees Bazmee. From the iconic character of Salman Khan as Prem to the presence of fabulous actors and its spot-on humor quotient, the film was indeed studded with full-on comedy, emotions, action, dialogues, and a lot of masala entertainment. Today, it’s the 13th anniversary of ‘Ready,’ and it’s a perfect time to revisit the entertaining elements the film has delivered.
One of the biggest highlights of ‘Ready’ was indeed Salman Khan in his audience-favorite on-screen character, ‘Prem.’ The superstar, with his flamboyant charm, stylish aura, and perfect comic timing, makes this film a power-packed entertainment. The way Salman Khan deals with different situations humorously, the way he fights, the way he delivers the dialogue, ‘teen cheez kabhi underestimate mat karna, I, Me aur Myself,’ and his amazing chemistry with the gorgeous Asin, everything makes this film a full-on masala entertainer that never fails to entertain despite multiple watches.
As much as the film was entertaining in different aspects, it also came with a chartbuster music album that comprised songs like ‘Character Dheela,’ ‘Humko Pyaar Hua,’ ‘Dhinka Chika,’ and more, which left the entire nation grooving to its beats. Also, Ready broke all the records for a non-holiday film. It grossed 120 Cr. net in India and the lifetime global collection was 180 Cr. It was indeed a massive collection that film collected back in 2011. Remarkably, it was among few films that crossed 100 Cr. mark in year 2011.
Moreover, ‘Ready’ was indeed an entertaining film that still remains alive in the hearts of the audience for its spot-on entertainment quotient.
Apart from this, Salman Khan is gearing up to take over EID 2025 with his next, Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Sikandar’ directed by A.R. Murugadoss. Salman Khan will be seen sharing screen space with Rashmika Mandanna in the film.
