The actress is none other than Papa Kehte Hai fame Mayoori Kango, who left the film industry. Kango has been appointed as Google India industry head – agency business.
The former actress made her debut in the year 1995 with the film Naseem. But she got recognition from the films Papa Kehte Hain and Hogi Pyar Ki Jeet. She played the lead role in both these films, which were well-liked. She was in 12th grade when she got her first break. The actress appeared in films like Badal, Betaabi, Hogi Pyaar Ki Jeet and Papa the Great. She worked with famous actors like Ajay Devgn, Anupam Kher, Bobby Deol, Arshad Warsi, Shakti Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Chandrachur Singh and Jugal Hansraj.
Mayoori was last seen on the big screen in the year 2001 in the film Jeetenge Hum. Before this, she worked with Mahesh Babu in the Telugu film Vamsi in 2000. According to the report, she worked on 16 films, many of which could not be released. In addition to films, she also worked in TV serials like Nargis, Thoda Gum Thoda Khushi, Kitty Party and Dollar Babu.
Meanwhile, Mayoori Kango married NRI Aditya Dhillon in December 2003. She then shifted to America with her husband. Here, she studied MBA in Marketing and Finance from Baruch College Zicklin School of Business. She then worked in the United States from 2004 to 2012. She gave birth to a son named Kian in 2011. She then returned to India in 2013.
Kango reportedly worked as a managing director at Performics, a French advertising group company, after moving to India. She got an opportunity in the year 2019 to join Google India. She is currently the industry head – agency business for Google India.
