Samantha Ruth Prabhu makes a moving confession.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu made her first press appearance after her post about hydrogen peroxide nebulisation landed her in trouble.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu confessed she does have her low days while dealing with negativity on social media and her ill health. The actress made her first media appearance on Thursday in Mumbai after her controversial post about using hydrogen peroxide nebulisation drew heavy social media criticism. Samantha was present the teaser launch of Citadel: Honey Bunny with Varun when she was asked how is she navigating the social media trolling amid her health situation.

The actress admitted she does give up on a few days but she also rises up. “I do give up, I do give, I can’t tell you I don’t but that’s not where the story ends. I climb back up,” Samantha said, which resulted in a massive roar. Watch the video below:

For the unversed, Samantha was criticised by popular health expert on social media — Dr Cyriac Abby Philips aka ‘The Liver Doc’ — for spreading misinformation. He called her ‘health illiterate’ for sharing a post about hydrogen peroxide nebulisation. The doctor had demanded a stern punishment against Samantha and stated that she should be put in jail. “In a rational and scientifically progressive society, this woman will be charged with endangering public health and fined or put behind bars. She needs help or a better advisor in her team,” he had written.

Meanwhile, Samantha is also struggling with her health. The actress was diagnosed with Myositis, an autoimmune condition, in 2022. While she has been taking extreme care of herself, Varun Dhawan revealed at the press conference that Samantha was resorting to ice tubs to heal sooner from bruises.

“Ice tub is not even a challenge anymore. We would do action sequences and Sam would say ‘the best way to heal is to do an ice bath.’ I would tell my trainer that look she is also doing (the ice bath), we should also do. Then he would come with an ice bucket and put. I was shiver for two minutes and go, ‘It is too cold, it is too cold.’ And she would do for 6 to 7 minutes,” Varun said.

Citadel: Honey Bunny is set to release on November 7.
