Malavika Mohanan is currently enjoying the success of Thangalaan. The film, directed by Ranjith, also stars Vikram in the lead.

Malavika Mohanan has opened up about her upcoming movie with Siddhant Chaturvedi, Yudhra. In an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, the actress mentioned that the film will be very different from her recently released Thangalaan. She shared that it is an action romantic drama and will present her in a never-seen-before avatar.

“The film I have done with Siddhant Chaturvedi is produced by Excel Entertainment and that’s releasing next month. We will just put out the trailer in a few days. In comparison to Thangalaan, it is a whole different world. That’s also exciting for me. All of these roles are so different from each other that it is nice for an actor to be a part of so many versatile films. I hope more makers see me so that they see how I fit into different roles,” Malavika told us.

Besides this, the actress also has The Raja Saab in her pipeline. The film, which also stars Prabhas in the lead, will mark Malavika’s Telugu debut. However, when asked about the same, she refused to share much details but simply said, “It is a horror romantic film. It will be out next summer.”

Meanwhile, Malavika Mohanan is currently enjoying the success of Thangalaan. The film, directed by Ranjith, is set against the backdrop of the Kolar Gold Fields (KGF), with Vikram portraying a character and adopting an appearance unlike anything he’s done before. Thangalaan is getting a great response from the audience and has joined the Rs 100 crore club just from its collections in South India. It will now be released in Hindi across North India on September 6.

Recently, director Pa Ranjith also talked about Thangalaan’s success and told us, “We got very good appreciation and people are enjoying the world and they connected with that world. A lot of discussions happened after the release – and continues till today – on the social media. It’s being appreciated not only in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh but other states also. It’s connecting the world.”
