Sudha Murthy pulled up Kapil Sharma during the episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show after he lied to her. Sudha Murthy was on the show with her husband, businessman Narayana Murthy. During the episode, Sudha shared several anecdotes about her marriage with Narayana and brought up several topics as well, one of which was the importance of men learning how to cook and clean for themselves. “All boys and men should learn how to cook so that they can help their wives. They should also lend a helping hand,” she insisted. Kapil tried to impress her by saying that he washed the utensils before he came to shoot for the episode.
“I washed the dishes this morning,” Kapil said, leaving everyone in splits. Sudha caught him red handed. “Show me your hand,” she asked, as she wanted to check if he really performed the task. “I washed my hands and have come,” Kapil said, trying to distract her. “If you’ve washed utensils, the lines on your hands will be different. The lines of your hands are very good, kuch nahi kiya hai. Mere se panga nahi lena,” she said, with a big laugh.
In the same episode, Sudha confessed she is a ‘terrible’ cook. “I am not an expert in cooking. I don’t take such risks. I know what he wants. He is not a foodie and that is my advantage,” she said. Sudha added, “I have become a workaholic like him and punctual. I never complain about things in life… I am a terrible cook. Look at his weight, it is thanks to my cooking… It is my suggestion to all the wives not to cook great food if they want their husbands to lose weight.”
The episode premiered on Netflix on Saturday night. Besides the Murthys, Kapil and the gang also hosted Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal and his wife Grecia Munoz (Gia Goyal).
