Mukesh’s displeasure at Ranveer being the new Shaktimaan is no secret. One needs to have the ‘correct’ face to play Shaktimaan, the veteran actor had previously commented.

Mukesh Khanna did not mince his words while going over his reasons to now turn down Tiger Shroff. The Shaktimaan star said Shroff doesn’t have the required stature for the role.
“Forgive me, but if Tiger Shroff tells a child to flush the toilet as Shaktimaan, the kid will turn around and say to him, ‘Tu baith jaa,’” scoffed Mukesh Khanna.

“Tiger doesn’t have the stature that one needs to play Shaktimaan, who had a gravity not because of me, but because of the character that he is. Shaktimaan isn’t a brainless brawler. He has seriousness, he is wise. He is an evolved person, for God’s sake,” Mukesh Khanna further added.
Shaktimaan: Ranveer Singh Waited 3 Hours To Convince Mukesh Khanna
There are even reports doing rounds that Ranveer Singh waited 3 hours outside Khanna’s office to convince him for the superhero role. But Mukesh has remained firm on his stance.
