Sunny Deol Talks About ‘Bollywood Camps’, Says They Prefer To Work With ‘Chamchas’ | Watch

Sunny Deol said he isn’t scared of anyone and that’s why people don’t like his attitude.

Sunny Deol recently opened up about ‘camps’ in Bollywood and mentioned how they prefer to work with people who praise them. Sunny Deol is among the most popular actors in Bollywood but his career saw a decline after he stopped getting lead roles. He made his comeback with Gadar 2 last year and has been on a roll since with multiple projects in his kitty.

Speaking to SCREEN, Sunny Deol said, “The reality of life is that there are camps everywhere, right? So camps basically go with the people who are a part of the camp, who will do… ek doosre ki chamchagiri karo, you know, camps hote hain. Somehow, people who are very upfront… We are Jats, you know. Toh kuch bhi jo karte hain toh hum log darte nahin, hum karte hain. Aur hum sharmaate nahin kisi cheez se, sachche hain. So, people don’t like that.”

In the same conversation, Sunny revealed that big production houses and camps that dominated Bollywood in the 1980s, 90s and 2000s hesitated to work with Dharmendra. He also shared that he did not get offers from big production houses either, which resulted in him setting up his production label. He added, “But what happens is, when you are talented, you are there and you can give those things. So that’s how I became a producer, I tried to bring in films, and we did try to do all those things. Lekin jab tak koi nahi aata, toh aap kuch nahi kar sakte hai, aapko ladte hi rehna pata hai.”

After the stellar success of Gadar 2, Sunny Deol will now be seen in Jaat. The film’s trailer was recently released, attached to Pushpa 2. Besides this, Sunny Deol is shooting for Lahore: 1947 with Preity Zinta. The film is produced by Aamir Khan. He also has Border 2 in the making with Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh and has confirmed his role in Ramayana – Part: I, headlined by Ranbir Kapoor.
