Storyline:
DCP Satya Verma (Varun Dhawan) makes an enemy out of Babbar Sher (Jackie Shroff), a sinister politician, after punishing his son for committing a heinous crime. In retaliation, Babbar Sher attacks Satya’s wife (Keerthy Suresh) and Mom (Sheebha Chaddha), leaving Satya and his young daughter Khushi (Zara Zyanna) as the only survivors.
Faking his death, Satya starts a new life in Kerala as Baby John, determined to protect Khushi and leave his violent past behind. However, when Babbar Sher discovers Satya is alive, he threatens their peaceful existence, forcing Satya to go back to his vigilante lifestyle. Meanwhile, Khushi’s teacher (Wamiqa Gabbi) harbors secrets of her own, adding a layer of mystery to the unfolding drama.

Baby John Movie Review:
Varun Dhawan shines in this larger-than-life mass entertainer, delivering an impressive blend of action, humor, and drama. Fully embracing the massy appeal of Baby John, Varun proves yet again why he is a crowd favorite. Varun’s physical prowess is commendable and he has cemented his position as an out-n-out action star with effortless swagger!
His portrayal of a meek father who transforms into a savage vigilante is seamless and compelling. Varun’s comic timing remains impeccable, and his bond with his onscreen daughter, played by the adorable Zara Zyanna, is a highlight. Zara’s natural charm adds a layer of innocence, making their dynamic heartwarming.

Keerthy Suresh brings grace and charm to her role, sharing a warm chemistry with Varun. However, her character could have benefited from stronger writing to fully utilize her talent. Wamiqa Gabbi, despite her potential, feels underutilized, leaving her mark only in a handful of scenes. Jackie Shroff makes an impact as the menacing antagonist, but his character lacks the depth needed to elevate the stakes.

The film kicks off with promise, but the narrative falters midway, weighed down by some unnecessary filler drama and abrupt scene transitions. The inclusion of generic songs disrupts the pacing, and some comedic sequences fall flat. However, Varun’s flawless comic timing, supported by Rajpal Yadav’s antics, manages to salvage the humor.

Fortunately, the second half redeems the film with gripping storytelling and adrenaline-pumping action sequences. The interval block sets the stage for an engaging finale, featuring meticulously choreographed stunts and a surprise cameo from a major superstar. While the film struggles with uneven pacing and occasional missteps, it ultimately delivers an entertaining mix of action and drama, powered by Varun Dhawan’s charismatic performance as a massy action star!
