Tripti Dimri removed; Imanvi Esmail to join Kartik Aaryan’s love story

Anurag Basu’s next love story will feature Kartik Aaryan in the lead role. This won’t be an Aashiqui franchise movie, but it will be a fresh film. The leading lady for the film is still unconfirmed, as the makers are looking to lock a fresh face after Tripti Dimri’s removal, says a report in Midday.

Tripti Dimri was supposed to play the leading lady opposite Kartik in this romantic drama, but she has been removed now. Reportedly, a new face, Imanvi Esmail, may join the cast if things fall into place.

Content creator and YouTuber Imanvi Esmail is all set to make her debut with Prabhas in one of his upcoming movies, and she has been approached for this Kartik Aaryan starrer, too. There is a chance her dates may not match the film’s schedule and, in that case, the makers will approach Sara Ali Khan for the role.

“Tripti is busy for six months with Vishal Bhardwaj’s film, so the makers had to look at other options. Also, the requirement of the film is a fresh face. A lot depends on the look test and the chemistry between the actors. Another big contender for the role is Sara Ali Khan, who Anurag has just worked with in Metro… In Dino. If the conversation with Imanvi falls through, the makers will approach Sara. The final decisions on the film’s casting will be made by the end of this month,” a source told the portal.
