Shah Rukh Khan & Aditya Chopra lock Pathaan 2 script:

Pathaan (2023) provided Shah Rukh Khan with a much-needed and strong comeback. The 2023 action drama was a massive blockbuster at the box office, shattering several records. The Shah Rukh Khan-led spy universe flick also starred Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in leading roles, and now reports are emerging about the sequel, Pathaan 2.

According to the latest report, SRK and producer Aditya Chopra have finalized the script for Pathaan 2. Peeping Moon reported that the film will soon go into production and promises to be a larger extravaganza than the first film. Writers Sriram Raghavan and Abbas Tyrewala have crafted a script that has been approved by Chopra and Khan.

“Aditya has been working on the script for ‘Pathaan 2’ since mid-2023. The sequel is designed not only to continue Pathaan’s story but also to lay the groundwork for larger conflicts in upcoming installments of YRF’s Spy Universe. Due to the extensive planning and intricate storytelling, the scripting process took considerable time,” a source told the portal. 

The source further added, “Aditya, along with Sriram Raghavan and Abbas Tyrewala, has crafted an exhilarating, high-stakes script that promises to exceed the first installment in both scale and intensity. Aditya consulted SRK on the script, and he was thoroughly impressed and enthusiastic about the sequel’s direction.”

The report also confirms that Pathaan director Siddharth Anand will not be returning this time. YRF is looking to appoint a new director to helm this ambitious project, which will be connected to the upcoming films in Yash Raj Films’ Spy Universe.
