Jaat Extended 4-Day Weekend Total Reaches Gadar 2’s First Day Figures –

Jaat vs. Gadar 2 box office:

Sunny Deol‘s latest release, Jaat, has had a respectable extended weekend at the Indian box office. The film collected approximately 25 crore nett in the opening weekend, i.e., the first 3 days, and the fourth day, being a Sunday, provided it with the highest single-day total of its theatrical run.

Jaat opened with Rs. 9 crore nett on Thursday, which was a partial holiday. The film declined on the second day and collected approximately 6.50 crore nett. The Saturday figures rose again, surpassing the figures of day one, and now Sunday has witnessed the best rush of its run.

Gopichand Malineni‘s action flick collected approximately 13-13.50 crore nett on Sunday, bringing its 4-day total to 38-38.50 crore nett. Interestingly, Sunny’s previous release, Gadar 2, collected Rs. 39 crore nett on its opening day. Jaat isn’t far behind, but this is reasonable because this is not a sequel or a franchise film. The budget of Jaat is above 60-70 crore, so the film needs to demonstrate a strong hold during weekdays and the second weekend in order to achieve success. For a clean hit verdict, it will have to remain super strong in the second week when Kesari Chapter 2 will be competing with it.
