Cobra Telugu Movie Review
Tamil star Vikram’s Cobra had a simultaneous release in Telugu also today. Let’s analyse it.
Story: The film opens with the introduction of Vikram as a maths teacher. Parallelly, the scenes where he will be taking contract to kill high profile people will be showcased. Is Vikram really a maths teacher? What is his character name? To find the twists and turns in the plotline, you have to catch the film in the nearest theaters.
Merits: As usual, Vikram is too good with his performance. His various get-ups bring authentic texture to the first half proceedings. Vikram performed stunt sequences with ease in the body language.
Former cricketer Irfan Pathan is good in his key role as an Interpol officer. Though his character is good, it is left unidentified towards the end. Young actor Roshan Mathew gets a negative shaded role in which he excelled.

Heroine Srinidhi Shetty is okay in her limited role. Young girl Meenakshi Govindarajan did her purposeful role quite effectively.
Mirnalini Ravi is okay with performance in her limited role. Senior filmmaker turned actor KS Ravikumar did his part decently. Other artists are convincing in their respective roles.
Cobram Movie Review and Rating
Demerits: One of the biggest minus for the film is lengthy runtime. Adding to it, the confusing screenplay in the second half dilutes the interest of the audience.
Though Vikram perfectly suited in several avatars none of them are utilised in a proper manner. Director Ajay Gnanamuthu’s narrative is confusing in the second half and is a major minus.
Technical Crew: Music by AR Rahman is soul of the film. While his songs are passable, the background score elevates a few key episodes.
The cinematography work by Bhuvan Srinivasan and Harish Kannan is visible on screen. The lavish setup and the texture of the film is showcased nicely.
Editing by Bhuvan Srinivasan and John Abraham would have been crispier. The production values for this high budget film are rich and lavish.
Verdict: To wrap up, Cobra is a sibling drama that has good performances form the artists but lack of connectivity and lengthy proceedings dilute the audience mood.
