5 Hindi Movies Releasing This Week [On OTT & In Theatres]

Only two Hindi movies have lived up to expectations and worked at the box office. This week two new movies are releasing in theatres while three are coming on OTT including the premiere of the biggest blockbuster of the year, Pathaan. Let’s have a look at the Hindi movies releasing this week.

Pathaan

After two months of its blockbuster run in theatres, Shah Rukh Khan’s action thriller Pathaan will make its OTT debut on Amazon Prime Video. Also starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, Pathaan is the highest-grossing Hindi movie of all time.

Chor Nikal Ke Bhaaga

Release Date: 24 March 2023

Directed by Ajay Singh, the heist thriller stars Yami Gautam, Sunny Kaushal and Sharad Kelkar in lead roles. It focuses on a flight attendant and her business partner who are on a mission to steal diamonds and free themselves from the clutches of a loan shark. At 40,000 feet in the air, the heist goes horribly wrong and turns into a hostage situation.

Kanjoos Makhichoos

Starring Kunal Kemmu, Shweta Tripathi, Piyush Mishra, Alka Amin, Rajiv Gupta and the late Raju Srivastav, Kanjoos Makhichoos is a film based on the famous Gujarati play Sajan Re Jhooth Mat Bolo. The comedy-drama revolves around a miserly person named Jamnaprasad Pandey who saves money to send his parents on a pilgrimage. However, fate has other plans when he loses his parents in a flood. The rest of the story follows several hilarious twists and turns as he fights against the corrupt system to get the deserved compensation amount.

Bheed

Release Date: 24 March 2023

Directed by Anubhav Sinha, Bheed is an account of the largest migration in India after the partition in 1947 which happened during the lockdown of 2020. It tells the story of how several characters in the movie deal with the lockdown and migrate to a place they feel safe. The hitting drama stars talented actors, Rajkummar Rao, Bhumi Pednekar, Dia Mirza, Ashutosh Rana, Pankaj Kapur and Kritika Kamra.

Operation Mayfair

Operation Mayfair is an investigative thriller directed by Sudipto Sarkar and stars Jimmy Sheirgill, Ankur Bhatia and Vedieka Dutt as lead characters.
