Abhay Verma, best known for his role in Munjya, is the latest addition to the cast of Siddharth Anand’s highly anticipated film King, starring Shahrukh Khan and Suhana Khan.
The film, directed by Sujoy Ghosh and produced by Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand, will feature a stellar lineup including Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan, and Abhishek Bachchan.
As per reports, a source said, “Abhay Verma has got a lot of appreciation for his performance in Munjya, and the same is reflected in the kind of offers coming his way. He has bagged a key role in King alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan. He is excited to venture into this tentpole feature film.”
Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment and Siddharth Anand’s Marflix are teaming up to produce King, an intense action thriller set to feature SRK in a rugged, action-packed role. According to sources, the script has been finalized, and the filmmakers have selected both domestic and international locations for the shoot. Filming is expected to commence in November 2024.
The film will explore a mentor-protégé dynamic between SRK and Suhana Khan, with Abhishek Bachchan stepping into the role of the antagonist. Known for its high-octane action, King will showcase Shah Rukh Khan in a gritty new avatar. The film’s music and background score will be crafted by Anirudh while industry-leading experts are designing the action sequences to elevate the movie’s intensity.
