Amid swirling rumours about his marriage to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan made a rare and heartfelt comment about his daughter Aaradhya. During a recent appearance on Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) Season 16, where he was promoting his latest film I Want To Talk, the actor opened up about fatherhood and the deep connection he shares with his daughter.
In the latest episode of KBC, Abhishek spoke with his father, Amitabh Bachchan, about his role in I Want To Talk, a film that explores the emotional journey of a single father navigating a troubled relationship with his daughter. While discussing the film, Abhishek shared that he connected with his character Arjun Sen’s commitment to his daughter. He reflected on the promise Arjun makes to his daughter, assuring her that despite the challenges, he would always fight to be there for her and even dance at her wedding. Abhishek added, “That unwavering commitment as a father is beyond words.”
The actor then spoke candidly about his relationship with his own daughter, Aaradhya. “Aaradhya is my daughter, and Shoojit da has two daughters. We are all ‘girl dads,’ and we truly understand that emotion,” he shared.
Abhishek’s comments come at a time when his divorce rumours with Aishwarya have been circulating in the media. While neither of them has directly addressed the speculations, Amitabh Bachchan’s recent blog post on November 21, 2024, seemed to indirectly address the situation. Big B spoke about the “unverified rumours” and said that speculations should be treated as untruths until verified. He also expressed his reluctance to discuss his family publicly, maintaining its privacy.
In the blog, Amitabh wrote, “It takes immense courage, conviction, and sincerity to be different and believe in its presence in life. I rarely say much about family, because that is my domain, and its privacy is maintained by me…” He further added, “Speculations are speculations… they are speculated untruths, without verifications.”
