‘Adipurush’ Maker Manoj Muntashir Apologizes With Folded Hands For ‘Hurting Sentiments’
Om Raut’s film Adipurush was released in theatres on June 16. In the film based on the Sanskrit classic Ramayana, Prabhas played Raghav, Kriti Sanon played Mata Janaki, and Saif Ali Khan played Lankesh. However, the film sparked controversy owing to weak visual effects and representation of speech and characters. Makers have been accused of mocking Sanatan Dharma.
Manoj Muntashir Apologized for Adipurush controversy
Simultaneously, Manoj Muntashir was heavily chastised for utilising street language in the film and current insults in the conversation. Although the creators and Manoj Muntashir had previously defended ‘Adipurush,’ Manoj Muntashir has now finally apologised for the ‘Adipurush’ scandal.
Three weeks after the film’s premiere, Manoj Muntashir apologised on Twitter for the Adipurush controversy, and he also referred to Hanuman as God. On Saturday, July 8, Manoj posted a public apology note in Hindi and English to his social media page.
He wrote, “I accept that the film Adipurush has hurt public sentiments.I sincerely apologise with folded hands to all my brothers and sisters, elders, renowned sages-saints, and Shri Ram followers. Bajrang Bali, Bhagwan Be courteous to everyone, and grant us the strength to serve our sacred eternal and glorious country by keeping united and unbroken!”

Manoj Muntashir Shukla (@manojmuntashir) July 8, 2023
Netizens say-it’s too late
Following his apologies, Manoj Muntashir has received a lot of criticism on social media. “Too late,” one user wrote. When the picture bombed and theatres began to empty, when there was nothing left to lose, and when the public’s rage subsided on its own, you apologised. This task should have been completed within a few days of the film’s release, but you were too busy counting the receipts and putting salt in the wound by defending it. Now that the film’s earnings have ceased entirely, they are apologising. Better late than never, right?
