Agastya Nanda Is Not On Social Media For This Hilarious Reason

The Archies to stream on Netflix from December 7.
Agastya Nanda shared that unlike his Archies co-stars, he is not active on social media. He added that he finds it really stressful but agrees that he uses a fake account.
Agastya Nanda is all set to make his acting debut with The Archies. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the screening for this comic adaptation took place in Mumbai last night and was quite a star-studded affair. Agastya’s entire family graced the event to support him. However, unlike other actors or his co-stars, Agastya Nanda is missing from the social media space. He does not have an official handle on Instagram. In a recent interview, Agastya revealed why he is not active on any platform.
In a conversation with NDTV along with the entire cast of The Archies, Agastya revealed, “I did have a social media account and I used to get really stressed, what should I post, what filter, what angle, jawline. I used to do all this and then I was like scrap it. I am going to do some cool artsy thing…and I am not artsy. I did some cool collage and posted it. I thought this is my big reveal, I have arrived. I am going to make a public account, people are going to follow me. But people started unfollowing me.” He added that when his account was private he had about 800 followers and after making it public, he reached 20,000. But, it was after he posted a collage that his followers went down to 500 and therefore he “Avoids it.” Agastya also shared that there were many news articles that came out saying that his big Instagram reveal failed and his family had been forwarding those to him.
Interestingly, Agastya shared that he has a fake account that he uses to watch reels but mentioned, “I don’t like posting cause it’s really stressful.” Furthermore, he said that his generation is mostly anxious, and therefore he would like to make efforts to give them hope.
The Archies is a coming-of-age musical that follows the lives of a group of friends from a fictitious town of Riverdale. The themes of friendship, freedom, love, heartbreak, and betrayal are all explored in the film, which is an adaptation of the American comic by the same name. Apart from Agastya, who plays the role of Archie, the film also stars Khushi Kapoor, Suhana Khan, Aditi Saigal, Mhir Ahuja, Vedang Raina, and Yuvraj Menda. Set against a vintage backdrop, The Archies, a collaboration between Netflix India, Tiger Baby, Archie Comics, and Graphic India will be available on the streaming platform from December 7.
