The latest update reveals that the movie is set to go on floors with a 9-day schedule in Mumbai, starting from next week.
Akshay Kumar is all set to kick off the shoot for his much-anticipated project, Welcome to the Jungle. Ever since the release of the entertaining teaser, fans have been eagerly awaiting the laughter-filled extravaganza promised by the star-studded cast. The latest update reveals that the movie is set to go on floors with a 9-day schedule in Mumbai, starting from next week.
According to a report by Pinkvilla, a source revealed, “The film will be shot at various locations, which includes a massive set put up in the maximum city. The team will be kick-starting this cult comedy franchise with a 9-day schedule in Mumbai. Welcome to The Jungle goes on floors with Akshay Kumar and he will be joined by all members of the cast.” The film will reportedly then have a marathon schedule in February.
The film’s teaser was released on Akshay Kumar’s birthday. In the promo, the entire cast can be seen dressed in military uniforms, holding guns, standing in three rows, and trying to sing the familiar Welcome tune together.
Earlier, in a conversation with ETimes, Shreyas Talpade shared his excitement about the project, stating, “It is going to be an interesting project for sure. I have always enjoyed doing comedy films and it also comes naturally to me. I cannot say much about my character now, but there is going to be some crazy entertainment. I am so looking forward to working and learning from Akki Bhai (Akshay Kumar), Suniel Anna (Suniel Shetty), Raveena Tandon, Sanju Sir, and Arshad. I am very excited.”
Apart from Akshay Kumar, Welcome to the Jungle features a star-studded lineup that includes Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, Paresh Rawal, Krushna Abhishek, Arshad Warsi, Daler Mehendi, Shreyas Talpade, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor, Mika Singh, Zakir Hussain, Kiku Sharda, Mukesh Tiwari, Sayaji Shinde and Yashpal Sharma. The film also marks the reunion of Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon on the big screen. The former couple has previously charmed audiences with hit films like Mohra (1994) and Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi (1996).
Welcome to The Jungle is the title of Welcome 3, the next installment in the franchise. The first two films were released in 2007 and 2015, starring Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor as the iconic duo Uday Bhai and Majnu Bhai. The film is set to hit the screens on December 20, 2024.
