Allu Arjun Starrer Beats Ram Charan’s Orange & Jr NTR’s Simhadri In Just 2 Days!
Allu Arjun’s cult classic, Arya 2, was re-released in theatres last Saturday ahead of his birthday. Amid the ongoing trend of reruns, the film was expected to open big, especially after the tremendous success and popularity of Pushpa 2. Arya 2’s impressive run with its re-release edition
Today, Allu Arjun is celebrating his 43rd birthday. Marking this auspicious occasion, the Arya sequel was re-released in theatres on April 5. Backed by strong pre-sales from Telugu regions and selected pockets in the overseas market, it clocked a rocking 3.74 crore gross globally on day 1.
On the second day, Arya 2 saw an expected drop in the collection, which is usually seen in the case of reruns. Still, a good 1.46 crores came in. Overall, the film earned an impressive collection of 5.20 crore gross at the worldwide box office in 2 days.
Surpasses Ram Charan’s Orange and Jr NTR’s Simhadri!
In just a couple of days, Allu Arjun‘s Arya 2 has surpassed the reruns of Ram Charan’s Orange (first rerun) and Jr NTR’s Simhadri. For those who don’t know, Orange earned 4.71 crore gross globally during the first rerun. Jr NTR’s Simhadri made 4.60 crore gross with its re-release edition.
It’s a successful rerun already, and very soon, it is likely to surpass Mahesh Babu’s Businessman (5.85 crore gross).

Directed by Sukumar, Arya 2 also featured Navdeep, Kajal Aggarwal, Shraddha Das, Brahmanandam, and Sayaji Shinde in key roles. It was originally released on November 27, 2009. Back then, it was a huge box office success, but among critics, it saw mixed reception. Over the years, it attained a cult status due to its immense popularity on TV.
