Amitabh Bachchan said that he was mobbed last night and his security was compromised.
Hours after reports of Amitabh Bachchan’s hospitalisation made headlines, the superstar attended the Indian Street Premiere League (ISPL) 2024 final match in Mumbai. Several videos of the veteran actor from the event are now going viral on social media. He later took to his blog to share that he was mobbed at the event and his security was compromised.
Amitabh Bachchan wrote in his blog, “Got stuck at the entrance gate for over an hour… just immobile… crowds in their enthusiasm and mobbing did not give us even an inch to move… and by the time compromised security could get us through our batting innings was over… and we knew the score was dismal…”
Amitabh was spotted enjoying the final match between Majhi Mumbai and Tiigers of Kolkata. In one of the videos, Amitabh was seen standing with his actor-son Abhishek Bachchan in the stands as they cheered for Majhi Mumbai. In another video, he was seen interacting with Sachin Tendulkar.
After the match ended, Amitabh was seen leaving the stadium when somebody from the crown asked him about his health. At first, the actor made a gesture from his hand to indicate he was fine. Following this, the veteran actor responded verbally and said, “Fake news”.
Yesterday, reports of Amitabh Bachchan being admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai made headlines. Several reports claimed that the 81-year-old Bollywood megastar underwent an angioplasty. However, hospital sources later told News18.com that it was “a routine check-up”.
On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan will soon be seen in Kalki 2898 AD with Prabhas and Deepika Padukone. Besides this, he also has Section 84 and the Hindi remake of The Intern in his pipeline.
As for ISPL 2024, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s team, Tiigers of Kolkata, emerged victorious against Majhi Mumbai. The actor was present at the venue with his son Taimur to support the team.
