While she is a famous star and has a massive fan following, the actress maintains that she does not have many friends. Moreover, in a recent interview, she shared that her six children with former partner Brad Pitt are her support system, and the actress counts on them in difficult circumstances.
In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Angelina Jolie said her children—Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, Zahara, 18, Shiloh, 17, and 15-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne—are the “Closest” to her and all of them stick by each other. She shared that the six of them are her “close friends.” She added, “We’re seven very different people, which is our strength. We had to heal. There are things we need to heal from.” The actress indicated that she and her children are healing from their separation from Brad Pitt. The actress filed for divorce in 2016. Reportedly, Brad has not been seen with the children since then.
Further, because of the unwelcome attention she receives every time she ventures outside, the actress claims she doesn’t “really have a social life” in Los Angeles these days. Moreover, she doesn’t pay attention to what’s published about her in the press.
In an interview, Angelina Jolie stated that she eventually plans to leave Los Angeles and spend more time at her house in Cambodia. She says, “It’s part of what happened after my divorce. I lost the ability to live and travel as freely. I will move when I can. I grew up in quite a shallow place. Of all the places in the world, Hollywood is not a healthy place. So you seek authenticity.”
The actress made quite a statement with regard to her career during this interview. Angelina Jolie told the WSJ Magazine that if she were just starting out in the profession in 2023, she would probably not become an actress. “I wouldn’t be an actress today. When I was starting out, it wasn’t as much of an expectation to be as public, to share so much,” remarked the actress.
