Ranbir Kapoor-led Animal is one of the most-talked-about films of the year. The film was finally released on December 1 amid much anticipation surrounding its gripping storyline and the interesting characters played by the stellar star cast. As such, many theories were also speculated about Bobby Deol’s character in the film. Now, as per his nephew Karan Deol, he has stolen the show.
Karan Deol, Sunny Deol’s son, took to Instagram to share his appreciation for Bobby’s performance and wrote, “Amazing performance Bobby chacha you stole the show love you so much.” Bobby’s fans were eagerly waiting for his return to the big screen.
Bobby Deol recently revealed how he bagged the role. Bobby said, “Mujhe kaam hi nahi mil raha tha jaise toh laga nahi tha ki aisa character mujhe mil sakta hai. Toh ek din mujhe Sandeep ka message aaya, saying Sandeep Reddy Vanga, I would like to meet you. To maine bola yaar yeh sach main Sandeep hi hai ya aur koi hai? Masti toh nahi kar raha koi? (Since I wasn’t getting any work, I didn’t think that I could get a character like this. One day Sandeep messaged me that I wanted to meet you. I thought is this even the real Sandeep? Is someone poking fun at me?)”
Bobby added, “Toh maine pata kiya toh bolte hain ki nahi yeh toh Sandeep hi hai. Maine kaha yaar phone lagao fatafat. Phone lagaya and maine bola chalo milte hain. We met and mujhe yeh aakar ek photograph dikhate hain (I found out that it was actually Sandeep so I called him immediately and asked to meet. When we met, he showed me a photograph).”
“Inke paas ek photograph thi jab main zyada kuch kaam nahi kar raha tha but main Celebrity Cricket League khelta tha. Toh vahaan ek photo kheechi gayi thi jahaan main door kahin dekh raha hoon. Toh unhone mujhe dikhayi aur kaha main aapko issi liye lena chahta hoon kyuki aapki yeh jo photograpgh hai, isme jo aapka expression hai, voh mujhe chahiye. I said chalo bekaari ke din kaam aagaye (He had a photo of me from when I wasn’t working as such, but I used to play the Celebrity Cricket League. He told me he wants me in the film because the expression that I had in the photo, he wanted in the film. I thought good, unemployed days also turned out to be useful),” the actor concluded.
