Animal Box Office Day 15: Ranbir Kapoor’s Film Soars Higher; Collects Rs 484 Crore Nett

The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial which was released on December 1 is inching closer to the Rs 500 crore mark. Despite the accusations levelled against certain themes of the film, moviegoers have certainly given their seal of approval to Animal since the film has already collected Rs ₹484.34 crore nett in just 15 days.

Going by the report mentioned in the box office tracking website Sacnilk.com, Animal was able to mint Rs ₹7.5 crore nett in all languages on the second Friday. Adding another feather to its cap, Animal additionally amassed ₹139.26 crore nett in the second week as opposed to ₹337.58 crore nett in the first week.

Earlier, a video of Ranbir Kapoor with three of his ‘Animal’ cousins had surfaced online in which they were seen enjoying in a car. While Ranbir was seen driving the car, others happily recorded the video.

Several celebrities including Ram Gopal Varma, Karan Johar, Riddhima Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Allu Arjun among others have also praised Animal. The film has also been accused of glorifying misogyny and toxic masculinity by several social media users.

Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor will be next seen in Nitish Tiwari’s Ramayana. While he will be playing the role of Ram in this upcoming movie, Sai Pallavi has been roped in for the role of Sita. KGF star Yash is likely to play Ravana in the movie, whereas Sunny Deol is in talks for the role of Hanuman. Ramayana will go on floors next year.
