Article 370 Box Office Collection Day 21: Stays Good In Week 3, Set To Cross 75 Crores This Weekend

Weekdays were stable for Article 370 as 3.50 crores more came in. The fact that the film is still running in the third weekend as well is an achievement in itself and to have steady collections during the weekdays further goes on to show that it would continue to find screens for the next couple of weeks at least. For a film with this kind of budget, genre and subject, it’s nice to see the film having a reasonably good run.

The Yami Gautam-led geopolitical drama has now reached 73.56 crores, and there is some steam still left in there. Though Shaitaan is running alongside too (which went past the 80 crores mark in its first week itself) and Yodha is releasing this Friday (and in the process taken over a good count of screens), Article 370 should have a stable third Friday with at least 50 lakhs mark been crossed. Then there is a huge jump expected on Saturday followed by stability on Sunday, which means at least a couple of crores more will come in. That would take Article 370 past the 75 crores milestone, which would be a notable achievement for the film.

Debutant director Aditya Suhas Jambhale has delivered a solid hit in his debut commercial film, and one now waits to see what’s the subject that he picks up for his next film.
