After bringing in 6.12 crores on Friday (with Cinema Lovers Day pushing the footfalls to some extent as well), Article 370 held well on Monday as 3.60 crores came in. In real value, this drop is very acceptable and there would be a far better picture that would emerge in days to come when drops would be even lesser.

Article 370 saw a very good weekend, and now, with good numbers coming right at the start of the weekdays, there are good enough indications of a hit tag on the way. The best part is that the film is finding audiences ‘apne dum par’ and there is no pushing that’s happening from any external factor. The collections are organic so far, and audience word of mouth is continuing to spread, which means there are expectations of a continued run beyond just the first week.

The Yami Gautam starrer has now neared the 30 crores mark in just 4 days and currently stands at 29.05 crores. It will comfortably go past the 50 crores mark by Sunday, though for the 100 Crores Club entry to be assured, a lot will depend on the kind of push that it gets over the second weekend with a minimal drop from the first weekend.

Note: Box office numbers are based on estimates and various sources. Numbers have not been independently verified by Koimoi.
