Becomes No.1 Grosser Of Venkatesh By A Margin Of 33.14 Crores In Week 1!
Venkatesh’s latest theatrical release, Sankranthiki Vasthunam, technically ended its first week yesterday. During its opening week, the film left everyone stunned with its splendid run all across the globe. Almost in every region, it has exceeded expectations and has minted healthy returns. Released alongside two major Tollywood films, Game Changer and Daaku Maharaaj, Venky’s action comedy has surprised everyone with its stunning performance. Backed by chartbuster music, the film kicked off its theatrical journey by registering the veteran actor’s career-best opening. It grossed over 30 crores on the opening day and has maintained a winning momentum since then.
In the first few days, Sankranthiki Vasthunam managed to snatch away shows from Game Changer and Daaku Maharaaj, which positively impacted its collection. At the Indian box office, the film has wrapped up its opening week by earning an estimated 122.35 crore net. Including taxes, its gross domestic collection stands at 144.37 crore gross.
Overseas, Sankranthiki Vasthunam has performed really well and has emerged as a profitable venture. With almost 20 crores coming from North America alone, the film has amassed an estimated 25 crore gross so far internationally.
Combining the Indian and overseas gross, Sankranthiki Vasthunam’s worldwide box office collection stands at a whopping 169.37 crore gross after 7 days.
