In a Twitter post, Dubey wrote, “I have formally notified the Bar Council of India that Advocate Sana Raees Khan has participated as a contestant in the reality show ‘Bigg Boss 17,’ which is a violation of Bar Council Rules.” The heart of his argument is that, according to Rules 47 to 52, Under the Indian Bar Council, attorneys are not allowed to work in any other capacity for monetary gain. Furthermore, Section 49(1)(c) of the Advocates Act of 1961 prohibits practicing lawyers from working full-time in other disciplines.
