Talking about his childhood, Bobby shared that there’s a significant age gap between him and Sunny. That gap shaped their bond in a unique way.

“There’s a big age gap between me and my brother, so he never really let me get too close as a friend or as a younger brother,” Bobby said.

“He was older than me, but he always kept an eye on me, like reminding me to focus on my studies. And I’d be like, ‘Dude, you’re not even studying yourself, and you’re telling me to study?’”

Sound familiar? Classic older sibling move, right? But even with all the teasing, Bobby acknowledged how much Sunny looked out for him. He talked about Sunny’s strict routine and discipline, something that didn’t always make sense to him back then but now holds deeper meaning.

“He always believed in getting up at 5:00 AM to work out and then start the day. I used to think, ‘You can exercise any time during the day,’ but he wanted me to be disciplined. Now I get it. Discipline is super important. My brother has done a lot for me, and I feel really blessed.”

We’re The Same At Home As We Are Outside, We Can’t Put On An Act – Says Bobby Deol

That kind of admiration doesn’t come out of nowhere. It’s clear Bobby has a lot of respect for Sunny, even if they didn’t share a typical buddy-buddy sibling dynamic.

When asked if there’s been any change in Sunny over the years, Bobby’s answer was simple and straight from the heart.

“No, nothing like that. We’re the same at home as we are outside. If you run into me by chance, I’ll be just like this. My brother’s the same, and my dad’s the same. We can’t really be any different; we can’t put on an act because it takes too much effort to go out and be someone else. Whatever is, is; why hide it, you know? I believe in that. I mean, I don’t even try to be different. I’m just me, and everyone’s like that.”

And that right there is the beauty of the Deols. In a world where putting on a show is common, they’ve chosen to just be themselves. Whether they’re at home or in front of the camera, what you see is what you get.
