Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Saif Ali Khan led Kal Ho Naa Ho is a hit even among today’s generation. The romantic comedy was re-released in India on November 15, 2024. Despite many other options at the ticket windows, it has been enjoying impressive footfalls. It has achieved a massive milestone and is only the second 2003 film to do so! Re-Release Box Office Collection

On day 14, Kal Ho Naa Ho accumulated 20 lacs at the domestic box office, a 20% drop from the 25 lacs earned on the previous day. There are ample new options at the ticket windows – Veer Zara, Karan Arjun, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, The Sabarmati Report, and Singham Again. But Shah Rukh Khan & Preity Zinta starrer has managed a rock-solid hold with only a minimal dip despite the mid-week blues. In fact, it also scored 66% higher than the opening day, which raked in 12 lacs.

In its original run, Kal Ho Naa Ho earned 38.60 crores in lifetime earnings. Adding 4.15 crores from the re-release, the cumulative total now stands at 42.75 crores.

Many would know that Shah Rukh Khan starrer was the second-highest grossing film of 2003. The throne is conquered by Koi Mil Gaya (47.25 crores). Kal Ho Naa Ho has now become the second film of that year to have crossed the 40 crore milestone at the box office. Others in the top 10 could not even cross the 30 crore mark.
