Top 5 BIGGEST HITS OF SALMAN KHAN:

Bollywood superstar, our Bhai Jaan, Salman Khan, is celebrating his 59th birthday today. Just like every year, fans and celebrities are sending their best wishes to the star. He celebrated his birthday with family and close friends.

5) Tiger Zinda Hai (2017):  

Salman Khan’s second film in the Tiger franchise and a sequel to his blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger (2012). Starring Salman as Tiger and Katrina Kaif as his wife Zoya, this spy action thriller was released during Christmas week and became the highest-grossing Bollywood movie of that year. It grossed 339 crore nett at the domestic box office and scored the 5th highest footfalls ever for any Salman Khan film, in the range of 3.08 crore.

4) Sultan (2016):  

A year before TZH, Salman Khan delivered one of the biggest hits of his career on his favorite festival release date, Eid. Sultan scored a record opening weekend as well as a record first week. It also became the first Bollywood film to cross the 200 crore nett mark in the first week. The film sold 3.20 crore tickets for nett collections of 300 crore and grossed over 415 crore. This remains his 4th most-watched film to date.

3) Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015):  

Undoubtedly, the most loved Salman Khan film in the last decade or this millennium. With Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Salman Khan entered the 300 crore club and became only the second Bollywood actor after Aamir Khan to enter the list at that time. The film collected in the range of 315 crore nett with ticket sales of around 3.54 crore, making it the second most-watched Bollywood film of the decade behind Aamir Khan’s Dangal (2016).

2) Maine Pyar Kiya (1989):

A dream debut for any Bollywood actor. The 1989 romance gave a big start to the careers of Salman, actress Bhagyashree, and director Sooraj Barjatya. Known as an iconic romantic film of the ’80s, Maine Pyar Kiya grossed around 14 crore nett, falling just a crore behind the record-breaking Sholay (1975). It was the highest-grossing film of the decade and sold more than 4.25 crore tickets at the box office.

1) Hum Aapke Hain Koun (1994):

As everyone knows, this is the most-watched and popular film of Salman’s career. Hum Aapke Hain Koun brought Salman and Madhuri Dixit together in a multistarrer family drama, which broke all existing box office records. Salman missed a record grosser with Maine Pyar Kiya, but Hum Aapke Hain Koun did the job—and how! The film went on to do business of over 70 crore nett at the domestic box office, becoming the first film to cross every coveted club figure from 20 crore to 70 crore. HAHK sold 7.39 crore tickets, ending up as the biggest hit of Salman Khan’s career as well as the biggest Bollywood hit post-90s to date.
