It wasn’t just the skyline but the Mumbai residence of Ekta Kapoor too was glittering with stars on Friday, November 10 night as she hosted a smashing Diwali bash.
The guest list included prominent celebrities from Bollywood and TV fraternities viz. Shilpa Shetty, Sunny Leone, Disha Patani, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Kriti Sanon, Ananya Pandey, Karan Johar, Isha Deol, Abhay Deol, Shanaya Kapoor, Nargis Fakhri, Karan, Kundrra, Siddhartha Kapoor, Bhumi Padnekar, Ali Fazal, Richa Chaddha were among many many guests who graced the occasion in traditional yet contemporary ensembles. Young and restless, 25-year-old Ananya Pandey looked graceful in a baby pink saree ensemble. The Arpita Mehta statement saree was accentuated with shimmering sequins fitted in columns to reflect the glamour of the diva. ‘Dream Girl 2’ star looked festive-ready in a pre-pleated front and pallu, the strapless and bustier blouse with a dipping neckline. The final touches were done with heels, open and wavy hair, traditional jhumkas, a bracelet, rings and a sheen makeup.
Next in line was Aditya Roy Kapoor. He looked stunning in a traditional black kurta embroidered with sequins and threads. The ensemble was highlighted with an open Nehru jacket, churidar pants, shoes, back-swept hair done up, and rings. ‘Aashiqui 2’ fame actor is rumored to be dating Ananya Pandey.
Kriti Sanon stole the limelight in a black lehenga and choli set with the extravagance of gold work. The sleeveless and body-hugging contour of the choli was finished with sleek dori ties and a backless design. The free-flowing high-rise lehanga was pleated and done with rich gold work. She finished her festive look with oxidized silver, choker, kadas, rings, jhumkas, kohl-smeared eyes, a pretty bindi, a center-parted sleek bun, nude lipstick, and smoky eye shadow.
Disha Patani looked like her usual red carpet diva in the emerald green bralette and saree. The blouse embraced a deep plunging neckline and a tailored hem whereas the pre-pleated saree scored with the lavish arrangements of gold beads on the borders. She emphasized her bold look with blushed radiant makeup, kohl-lined eyes, red lipstick, kadas, gold earrings, open wavy hair, and lashes curved with mascara.
Sunny Leone looked chic in a floral-printed black ensemble. The set of sleeveless choli, free-flowing skirt and dupatta were kissed with bold and generous prints of red, golden and pink flowers. The mirror work embedded into the neckline as well as the lower hem of the blouse and the upper rim of the skirt did proper justice to the glam our Baby Doll adds to any occasion. She came with her husband, Daniel Weber.
The carefully curated guest list also saw TV celebs like Divyanka Tripathi, Sakshi Tanwar, Anita, Hassnandani, Tajasswi, Rithvik Dhanjan and more in attendance.
Mouni Roy captivated with ivory embroidered chikankari and sequin lehenga set. She complimented the outfit with mangtika, choker and rings.
Where Divyanka Tripathi looked gorgeous in a purple outfit, Sakshi Tanwar was enamored with a traditional red and orange saree. Anita Hassnandani looked elegant and sophisticated in an Indo-Western look.
