FIR against Shreyas Talpade & Alok Nath:

Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade, who is currently busy shooting for his upcoming films like Welcome 3, Housefull 5, and Baaghi 4, has found himself in a legal predicament. The actor has been accused of cheating and fraud in Haryana.

As per reports, an FIR has been registered against Shreyas Talpade for cheating and fraudulent property transfer in Haryana. The FIR was registered on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, and names him and another actor, Alok Nath, among 11 other accused under Sections 316 (2), 318 (2), and 318 (4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The Additional Commissioner of Police (ACP) Ajeeth Singh confirmed the news to the media while speaking to ThePrint, but he stated that they will have to investigate the entire matter to determine who is guilty. “The main complaint is against the society that is alleged to have duped people of their money by luring them to invest. We will have to investigate what role, if any, is ascribed to Shreyas Talpade and Alok Nath.”

The complaint was filed by Vipul Antil, a resident of Sonipat, against the Human Welfare Credit Cooperative Society, Indore, under the Multi-State Cooperative Society Act, 2002. He accused them of cheating, fraudulent activities, and criminal breach of trust for offering higher returns from Fixed Deposits and recurring deposits. The Welfare team hired agents with high incentives to find more investors and duped them of their money.
