Manamey’s highly anticipated OTT release on Prime Video, initially slated for August 26, was abruptly halted due to unforeseen circumstances. Producer TG Vishwa Prasad filed a fraud case, alleging that a company entrusted with securing the OTT deal had deceived him, resulting in substantial financial losses.
The producer claimed to have paid the company for their services, only to be met with duplicity, prompting the delay in the film’s digital release.
This unexpected turn of events led to an indefinite postponement, leaving fans eagerly awaiting a new streaming date, which has now been resolved with its upcoming release on Sony LIV.
Manamey hit the theatres on June 7, garnering mixed critical reviews.
