The entertainment industry has given numerous chances to artists. Bollywood has let many such actors and directors explore and establish their skills, performance, and luck as well. There are some who tried their hand in the industry for years, but failed to create a place for themselves. Some even failed to do so, despite having a strong family lineage in the industry itself. One such actor is Sohail Khan, who is the youngest son of the renowned producer and screenwriter Salim Khan. He is the brother of Salman Khan, who is considered to be one of the biggest stars in the industry. Sohail Khan has been part of movie making and acting since 1997 has witnessed a significant fall with time. Let us take a look at Sohail Khan’s journey in Bollywood.
Sohail Khan marked his debut as a film producer and director with the 1997 action thriller film Auzaar. It featured Salman Khan and Sanjay Kapoor in the lead role. A year later, Sohail Khan directed the film Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya, which starred both his brother Salman and Arbaaz. Following the same, the youngest son in the Khan family took another step towards producing Hello Brother, featuring his brothers again in 1999.
In 2005, Sohail wrote, produced, and directed his acting debut film Maine Dil Tujhko Diya, which performed average at the box office. He then appeared in a few more films, however, none of them earned well. One of his successful films is Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, wherein he co-starred with Salman Khan. With a series of failing films as an actor, he again produced another film in 2007, Partner. It performed well at the box office and featured Salman Khan, Govinda, Lara Dutta, and Katrina Kaif.
After taking a long break from acting after Veer, Sohail returned in 2017 with Tubelight, alongside Salman Khan. In Tubelight as well, Sohail could not grab the eyes of the viewers.
