Karan Johar reacts to Ranveer-Deepika getting trolled for their KWK episode
Recently, Arjun Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur graced the couch in a Koffee With Karan episode. Karan Johar chose that moment to discuss the Deepika-Ranveer controversy on KWK, stating that he was infuriated by the unfavourable responses. Speaking about the season premiere, Karan stated:
“I felt that it was one of the most honest episodes and the most heartfelt episodes I did with Deepika and Ranveer. I think all three of us came clean on so much of our emotional heft, so many of our feelings. And then there was a ridiculous kind of after effect. I just want to put it out there that the episode angered me, and the reaction angered me. I thought it was one of our best episodes.”

In a similar vein, Karan Johar praised Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, revealing that they were sincere and honest. Returning the favour to the trolls, KJo stated that he wanted to give them the finger because it annoyed him when people made up stories about the couple. He continued, saying:
“They were outstandingly honest. They were earnest. They spoke so much. They shared so much. They were so gracious. And then you’re f*cking talking about some nonsense. I am like, ‘What do you know about somebody else’s personal life and marriage?’ ‘Tu apne ghar pe dekh na’ is what I wanted to tell them. I wanted to show them my f*cking middle finger! I am like, you know, just shut up.”
Karan Johar slams trolls who question his sexuality
Karan Johar talked about trolls and said that they frequently make fun of him because of his sexual orientation. Yash and Roohi, his children, and his mother Hiroo Johar are also targeted by the trolls, the director continued. Resisting the trolls, he uttered the following:
“They’re talking to me about my sexuality, they talk to me about being a single parent, they bring up my kids, that one really f******. They talk about my mother having raised me not well enough to take that decision right. I’m like who the f*** are you.”
Deepika Padukone shared she was in a casual relationship with Ranveer Singh
Speaking candidly about her dating history with Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone disclosed that she didn’t commit to him until he proposed to her because of her challenging previous relationships during her appearance on Koffee With Karan 8. Regarding their informal partnership, the actress mentioned that they would continue to see each other even if they were seeing other people. Deepika continued by saying that she always knew in the back of her mind that she was committed to Ranveer regardless of who else she encountered. Additionally, the actress became the target of trolls after her revelation irritated a lot of internet users.
