Khel Khel Mein Movie Review

Khel Khel Mein is a highly entertaining ensemble comedy from start-to-finish. The songs are kind of lacklustre but anyway, the game holds your attention and at no point does it get monotonous.

Khel Khel Mein has light-hearted (and at times pervy) humour infused with equal amounts of engaging drama. It is not just a non-stop laughter ride – it tries to carve some heartwarming moments while tackling topics like mental health and sexual orientation.

The film works because the group has fun banter and an engaging chemistry. Even though Akshay Kumar is the senior-most cast member, the act is balanced in this ensemble starrer. Everyone gets their due screentime, arc and moments to shine.

Taapsee Pannu as the loudmouth but vulnerable Punjabi wife, Pragya Jaiswal as the dumb yet adorable rich heiress and Fardeen Khan as the solo guy with a past, particularly stand out in Khel Khel Mein. Aditya Seal brings the charm, Ammy Virk’s comic timing is on point and Vaani Kapoor shines in the serious moments of the film.

After a string of flops, it seems like Akshay Kumar is BACK with the genre he does best – comedy. While some of his recent performances have been marked with lethargy, the actor’s comedic energy in Khel Khel Mein is top-notch and infectious.
