Famous actor Mohit Raina has won fame both in TV and films. After tasting success with his TV serials ‘Devon Ke Dev Mahadev’ and ‘Mahabharat’, the actor appeared in films like ‘Uri – The Surgical Strike’ and ‘Shiddat’. Mohit has come a long way in his career trajectory. Talking about his personal life, he hails from the disputed land of Kashmir. The actor spent nearly nine years of his life in the place.
Mohit recollects his childhood memories from Kashmir
In a recent interview with Ranveer Allahbadia, Mohit recalled his horrific experience from while growing up in Kashmir. He also shared who are his superheroes.
When asked if he misses his hometown, Kashmir, the actor replied in negative. He went on to share that he was around 8-9 when he moved out of the place. Walking down the memory lane, Mohit told that back then, it was a tough time for everyone as tensions had begun in Kashmir. He remembered watching his school burn, going to the school with a fear of how will he come back, his family getting caught in a crossfire, witnessing firing, etc. The actor said that no one can erase his memories of living in Kashmir along with sharing how there was a constant terror of losing one’s life every moment while in the valley.
Further in the interview, Mohit disclosed that he keeps playing part of an Army officer onscreen because they were his superheroes right from childhood.
“I saw the Army since my childhood. I used to think very heroic of the uniform and of the Army as they were always around us. This is why I never let go of an opportunity of essaying an Army men, whether big or small.”
Mohit also revisited the time when he witnessed firing at the age of eight. He said that it was almost death-like situation as he was standing on one side of the street with his family and his sibling was on the other side and suddenly firing broke out.
Meanwhile, Mohit Raina is currently winning accolades for his series ‘The Freelancer’ on Disney+Hotstar. Before this, he appeared in the film ‘Ishq-e-Nadaan’.
