Bollywood superstar Salman Khan might have given multiple hits to the industry, many a times, he also missed to strike the right chords of the audiences. One such film of the actor which proved to be a box office dud is ‘Anti: The Final Truth’. The movie was a remake of Marathi blockbuster ‘Mulshi Pattern’ and starred Salman and his brother-in-law, Aayush Sharma in leads. Mahesh Manjrekar helmed the film.
While it is known to all that 2021 movie ‘Antim: The Final Truth’ failed to leave a mark on critics and viewers, it has recently came to the fore that even Marathi filmmaker, Pravin Trade who directed ‘Mulshi Pattern’ and star Upendra Limaye were also not impressed with it. In a recent interview, Pravin and Upendra openly slammed remake of their film.
Pravin and Upendra criticise ‘Antim’
The duo of Pravin and Upendra appeared on the chat show on the Marathi digital platform Bol Bhidu. While commenting on ‘Antim: The Final Truth’, Tarde said that after watching ‘Mulshi Pattern’, Salman took his collar up and kept saying, ‘What a film it was’. But when he remade it, he made a mess of it. While he didn’t have anything to do with that film, he revealed reveal publicly that he has still not seen that film and doesn’t wish to do so in future also. This is because in Pravin’s heart, there’s only ‘Mulshi Pattern’. He also said that through people, he came to know that his film was better than the remake.
Limaye, who worked in both ‘Mulshi Pattern’ and ‘Antim: The Final Truth’ shared his piece of mind on the same and said the sincerity Pravin showed in the film was from the soil of Mulshi. It was killed in the name of refining it. He stated that if they had remade it as it is, it would have still appealed.
Workwise, Salman Khan is currently hosting ‘Bigg Boss OTT 2’. He will appear next in high-octane action action film ‘Tiger 3’ with Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi. Shah Rukh will also have a cameo in YRF’s spy thriller.
