Pushpa 2 Hindi beats Jawan to gain the top spot

Pushpa 2‘s Hindi version has created history! Pushpa 2 now holds the record for the biggest opening day of all time in the Hindi language, as it overtook the opening day numbers of Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan (2022).

Pushpa 2 (Hindi) collected approximately 65 crores nett on its opening day, which is slightly more than 1 crore ahead of Jawan. Nonetheless, it’s a new opening day record, and it has been achieved with a non-holiday release. Jawan was boosted by the Janmashtami holiday in some parts of the country, while Pushpa 2 came without any holiday advantages.

Pushpa Part 2 has done mass penetration in all major Hindi circuits. The Mumbai circuit, which includes Mumbai, Maharashtra, and Gujarat, recorded the biggest opening with a total of over 20 crores nett. Bihar saw 3 crores nett for the first time, while Delhi underperformed (perhaps due to the theme). East Punjab contributed an impressive total of 5.50 crores, while CP Berar, CI, Bihar, and Odisha circuits recorded all-time high numbers for day one.
