Pushpa 2 actor Allu Arjun was granted regular bail in the Sandhya Theatre stampede case by the Nampally court in Hyderabad on Friday.
On Friday, Pushpa 2 actor Allu Arjun was granted bail in the Sandhya Theatre stampede case by the Nampally Court. The actor was booked over the death of a woman at the theatre in Hyderabad during the premiere of his film Pushpa 2: The Rule on December 4. Now, a day after being granted regular bail, Allu Arjun was spotted arriving at the Nampally Court to submit and sign the bail documents. He submitted surety documents as part of the process for securing regular bail, after which he was seen heading out of the court.
Visuals that have surfaced show Allu arjun arriving at the Nampally Court for the formalities. He was seen in a black kurta and matching pajamas. The Pushpa 2 star got out of his car and headed inside the court. Meanwhile, another video shows him exiting the court after submitting the documents. On his way out, a fan approached him for a selfie, and the actor politely obliged. He then shook hands with his lawyer, before getting inside the car and leaving.
Allu Arjun Gets Bail In Pushpa 2 Stampede Case
The Nampally court granted Allu Arjun regular bail and directed him to furnish two sureties of Rs 50,000 each. In a video posted by ANI, Arjun’s advocate Ashok Reddy said, “Conditions have been imposed, and he has to attend the police station also. Not every day, every Sunday, but that is a normal condition for every accused. The court was convinced that this was not a case of culpable homicide not amounting to murder. Therefore, the court considered and granted bail.”
Pushpa 2 Stampede Incident
The incident took place on December 4, when Allu Arjun attended the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule at Sandhya Theatre. A massive crowd had gathered to catch a glimpse of the actor, and chaos ensued. The stampede claimed the life of a woman, while her son was hospitalized. Allu Arjun was arrested on December 13 in connection with the incident and was produced before the Nampally court, which remanded him to a 14-day judicial custody. He was granted interim bail for 4 weeks on a personal bond of Rs 50,000.
The custody ended on December 27, following which Allu Arjun appeared in court via video conference. However, no decision was announced by the court then and the next hearing was pushed to December 30th, which was then postponed to January 3, 2025.
