On Saturday, Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram shared a joint announcement on their Instagram handles. The note they posted conveyed, “Inspired by the Mahabharata where Arjun married Manipuri Warrior Princess Chitrangada, we are entering the sacred bond of marriage with the blessings of our families and friends. We joyfully announce that our wedding is scheduled for the 29th of November 2023 in Imphal, Manipur, followed by a reception in Mumbai. As we prepare to embark on this journey, we seek your blessings and love for this union of cultures, for which we are forever indebted and grateful. With love and light, Lin and Randeep.”

Earlier this week, Hindustan Times reported that Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram plan to have a mythological-themed wedding, taking inspiration from the Mahabharata connection. The report quoted a source, stating, “Randeep is a private person and does not seek media attention for the wedding. That is one of the reasons he is choosing to get married in Manipur. Another significant reason is his desire to commence the new chapter of his life in a place that holds significance for his lady love.”
Lin Laishram’s Bollywood Journey: From Om Shanti Om to Axone
Lin made her Bollywood debut in 2007 with the film “Om Shanti Om,” where she had a cameo appearance as Om Kapoor’s (Shah Rukh Khan) friend. She has been part of other Bollywood films, including “Mary Kom” (2014) as Bem, “Umrika” (2015) as Udai’s wife, “Rangoon” (2017) as Mema, “Qaidi Band” (2017), and “Axone” (2019) as Chanbi.

Directed and co-written by Randeep Hooda with Utkarsh Naithani, the film is produced by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures and Randeep Hooda Films in collaboration with Legend Studios and Avak Films.
