Ravi Dubey to play Laxman in Ramayana; calls Ranbir Kapoor a megastar

Ravi Dubey to play Laxman in Ramayana:

Ramayana, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi, is currently in the filming process and is slated for a Diwali 2026 release. This pan-India production features a significant ensemble cast, and today, one more name has been confirmed, playing one of the film’s most important roles.

TV and Bollywood actor Ravi Dubey will be seen portraying Laxman, the brother of Lord Ram, in Nitesh Tiwari’s magnum opus. Ranbir Kapoor will star in the lead role of Rama, Sai Pallavi will play Sita, and Yash will portray Raavana. Although there was no official announcement from the makers regarding Ravi’s addition, the actor himself confirmed his role in an interaction with Connect Cine.

Ravi stated, “I am playing Lakshman in the film. I finally have permission from the makers to reveal this. I didn’t discuss it earlier because I didn’t want to make irresponsible statements and spoil Namit Malhotra and Nitesh sir’s plans to unveil the cast.”

On working alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Ravi Dubey shared, “He is like the elder brother I never had. He is kind, warm, and the most immaculate professional I have ever met.
