G Sudhakar is a famous actor who ruled the 80s and 90s. Apart from being a stellar actor, he is a comedian and film producer who has worked in many hits. In his illustrative career, he has worked in more than 600 movies in both Tamil and Telugu film industries. He began his career as a hero in Tamil movies. After completing 50 movies, his career kickstarted in the Telugu movies.

G Sudhakar is a prolific actor who was honoured with Nandi Award for the movie Peddarikam. He has worked in many Tamil movies. He marked his debut with Kizhakke Pogum Rail by Bharathiraja, starring newcomers Sudhakar and MR Radhika. It was released in 1978 and was remade in Telugu as Toorpu Velle Railu and in Hindu as Saveray Wali Gaadi.
In an interview, he revealed how he was roped in for this role. He shared that he was out having coffee and the director, Bharathiraja spotted him there. After some time, a person approached him and told him that the director wanted to meet him. He went over and got selected for the role. He shared that he “was on cloud nine” and Kizhakke Pogum Rail emerged to be a success at the box office.
He also worked in movies like Manthoppu Kiliye, Ponnu Oorukku Pudhusu, Karai Kadantha Oruthi, Thunaivi, Kai Naattu and Thaanaa Serndha Koottam.
G Sudhakar has also worked in Telugu movies like Pavitra Prema, Janani Janmabhoomi, Chakravarthy, Yamudiki Mogudu, Raja Simham, Pelli Pandiri, Family Circus and Lakshmi Kalyanam. He has produced a handful of movies like Yamudiki Mogudu which featured his ex-roommate and superstar Chiranjeevi. He also produced Tatayya Pelli Manavadi Shobhanam, Parugo Parugu (featuring Rajendra Prasad) and Kishkindakanda.
