Saif Ali Khan Attacker Arrested; A Bangladeshi National Allegedly
The Mumbai Police arrested a 30-year-old man from Thane today in connection with the attack; he was identified as Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad.

DCP Zone 9, Dixit Gedam, revealed that the accused is believed to be a Bangladeshi national who entered India illegally. The man had been using multiple aliases, including Vijay Das and Mohammed Iliyas, to conceal his identity. According to ANI, the accused has admitted to committing the crime.

“He does not have valid Indian documents. There are some seizures that indicate that he is a Bangladeshi national,” Gedam said.
“After entering India illegally he changed his name. He was using Vijay Das as his current name. He came to Mumbai 5-6 months ago. He stayed in Mumbai for a few days and then in the vicinity of Mumbai. The accused used to work in a housekeeping agency,” he added.
What Had Happened To Saif Ali Khan:
Saif Ali Khan, 54, was stabbed multiple times during what appeared to be a burglary attempt at his Bandra apartment early Thursday morning. He sustained serious injuries, including stab wounds to his neck and thoracic spine, while confronting the intruder.
Khan was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery. Fortunately, he is now out of danger and recovering.
