Shaitaan Box Office Collection Day 18: Enjoys A Decent 3rd Monday!
It was a decent Monday for Shaitaan as 3.25 crores* came in. The best part of the film is that it’s still collecting more than all other releases, be it the holdover or the new ones. Its showcasing is the best, too, and the collections would stay on to be the best right till the close of the week as well. In fact, the only film that will now actually start doing better than Shaitaan is this Friday’s release, Crew, which means it would close with a position of being the dominant one for three weeks in a row.
Surprisingly, though, the collections showed a notable drop compared to Sunday. Yes, it was on the cards since it’s on a partial holiday on Holi. Theatres anyway open only around 2-3 PM, and then after an extended weekend, the night shows get impacted too since people get ready for the next working day. Still, in the late afternoon and evening shows, one expected an even bigger traction, especially considering the manner in which the film had been performing, especially right till Saturday when it was on an upswing.
Nonetheless, the total of the film is still quite impressive as it stands at 132.25 crores*. It’s about how well it keeps doing right through the weekdays and then the hold that it manages on this Friday when Crew arrives. If it keeps its stand over the 1.50 crores mark, then there can well be another two-week run that it can continue to enjoy before Ajay’s own Maidaan arrives on Eid along with Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.
